"Korol i Shut" (abbreviated as "Kish") is a legendary Russian punk rock band that first appeared on the music scene in 1988 in Leningrad. Eccentric and bright musicians Mikhail Gorshenev (Gorshok) and Andrey Knyazev (Knyaz) sang the world of fantasy, horror and the Middle Ages, combining elements of punk rock, folk and hard rock in their work.
For more than 20 years of existence the band "Korol i Shut" has won the appreciation of countless listeners with absolutely different musical tastes — their songs are known even by those who are far from punk rock: largely due to the soulful melodies and deeply developed mystical stories based on Russian folklore, world mythology and legends. Musicians sang the names of witches, vampires, sorcerers, kings and clowns, creating their own unique world.
In the program "Music of the Korol i Shut" immortal hits of the legendary band are presented in author’s arrangements by musicians of the orchestra. Thanks to a special interpretation of unforgettable melodies the guests will look at their favorite works of the band in a completely new way.
